The Minnesota State USBC Association Awards Committee has announced a number of new awards available for all Minnesota USBC certified bowlers.
New awards include a one-time only award for a “250” game for women (adult or youth) and a “275” game for men (adult or youth). This award is available for scores bowled in USBC certified competition. An application form is available at www.mnstatebowl.org. League secretaries and/or bowlers should submit information regarding qualification to the association manager. Scores bowled beginning with the winter, 2006-07 season will qualify. If you have bowled a qualifying score, please check with your league secretary to make sure the information has been submitted to the association manager.
Four “High Average” awards are also available beginning with the 2006-07 bowling season for each USBC certified association in the state. Awards are available in the following categories: Adult Female, Youth Female, Adult Male and Youth Male. Adult average must be based on a minimum of 60 games in one league and youth must be based on a minimum of 30 games in one league. A “High Series” award will also be given to the 1st Highest, 2nd Highest & 3rd Highest series in the state. There will also be four categories for this award, Adult Female, Adult Male, Youth Female and Youth Male. Each local association should submit their three (3) highest series in each category once all leagues have completed bowling for the season.
