News from the Minnesota State Youth Tournament

This weekend was just a fantastic weekend of bowling -- In all the years I've been tounament manager for the youth tournament I have never had this happen before. I had two young men bowling on the same shift, same day, both bowling in the Doubles Event but different lanes bowl a 300 game.

Yes, TWO 300 games bowled on Saturday, April 19.

Craig White
16 years old (left handed bowler) - Average 188
Mermaid Lanes in St. Paul
On Saturday, April 19, Craig White bowled his first 300 game. I had the opportunity to watch this young man bowl and I was just amazed as to how calm he remained bowling his 300 game. Craig bowled a 212, 300, 279 for a 791 Series.

Matt Sundquist
20 years old - Average 226
Great River Bowl, Sartell
On Saturday, April 19, Matt Sundquist bowled a 300 game.
Matt bowled games of  240, 288, 300 for a 828 Series.
This isn't the first 300 game or 800 series for Matt.
