Jean has been a member of the MWBA for 32 years and has participated in 28 state tournaments.
She was the all events champion in 1964 and 1968, She won the state 600 tournament four times. She was on a team that placed third in the WIBC Tournament in Tulsa and won the singles and all-events in that tournament in Minneapolis.
She led the WIBC 20-year average list for many years. She was on a local championship team and has won the all events in local tournaments twice. She has captured the 600 club championship three times. She had the high game in the St. Paul association three times and the high series five times. She had high average in the city nine times and was on the all city team six times and was named queen three times.
She has competed in the F.I.Q. tournament in Winnipeg and the five woman team she has won gold medals and the three women team won bronze medals.
She originated the Great Lakes Invitational Tournament know as the GLIT in the late 1960's. She was a member of the Professional Bowling Association and won titles in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Fort Smith, Arkansas. She has six 700's to her credit , a high game of 299 and a high series of 736. She has maintained an average of 185 or better for a least 25 years with a high average of 196. She is also a member of the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame having the distinction of being the only bowler in this society which is displayed at the Humphrey Dome.
