Clarence is 70 years old. He and wife Vera are the parents of five children.

On the local level, he has been a member of the Winona Bowling Association for 20 years, serving as Secretary for 3 years and President for two. He was the originator of the Winona Athletic Club City Tournament. Served on the Winona Hall of Fame Committee - the first of its inception.

On the State level, Clarence has been a Director for nine years, Officer and President for four years and has been a Life Member for the past 16 years. This totals 29 years of devoted service to the State Association. Has chaired many committees and by his being Chairman, these committees accomplished their goals.

Was the youngest member of the Bell Brothers Team that participated in the Tribune Classic, receiving mention in Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

With his participation in over 21 State Tournaments and the many years of service to the Association, Clarence has been a great asset to the sport of bowling.
