Mr. Beyer became a member of the Minnesota State Board of Directors in 1960, served as State Secretary-Treasurer from 1976 to 1980 and again from 1984 to the present time.
At the ABC Convention in 1976, Elmer was elected as a Jurisdictional Director on the National Board of Directors. He served in that capacity for five years. He has bowled in over twenty-five State Tournaments.
Elmer Beyer is a friend to bowlers throughout the State of Minnesota and is clearly one of the state's best bowling ambassadors. He was rewarded with induction to the St. Paul Hall of Fame in 1975 and now Minnesota State Hall of Fame.
