Hazel was a member of the Duluth WBA for 25 years. She was a member of the Duluth WBA from the beginning of the organization in 1939. She was elected the first secretary of the Duluth WBA in 1939 and served in that position until retiring and moving to Michigan. She was the first Vice President of the MWBA. She was elected President of the MWBA in 1951-52 and served in that position for 8 years. She was elected Director of the MWBA in 1960-61 and served in that position for 3 years. She served on several of the MWBA committees. She worked on Duluth WBA committees for hosting the MWBA Championship Tournaments.

Hazel was a MWBA and WIBC delegate several times while bowling in Minnesota. Hazel worked with Bertha McBride in organization of the MWBA in 1947 and was a charter member. In one of Hazel's WIBC reports, she wrote meetings were Monday and Tuesday and lasted both days until 2 a.m. Hazel passed away in 1969 or 1970.
