Jean has been a member of the Grand Rapids WBA and MWBA 35+ years. She held the office of MWBA Director for 8 years, MWBA Sergeant at Arms 3 years, and MWBA 1st Vice President 5 years. She has served as chairman of the MWBA Jamboree committee for 8 years, co-chairman MWBA Legislative committee 5 years, Invocation 2 years; and Finance 6-8 years.

She has served on the following MWBA committees: Budget and Finance, 2 years; Credentials, 4 years; and Hall of Fame, 3 years. She has designed the state pins, 200 pins, Hall of Fame pins and state tournament participation pin (with Joyce Nelson).

She has been a MWBA delegate 25+ years and competed in MWBA championship tournaments 35+ years. She has held the following Grand Rapids WBA offices: President, 15 years; Secretary, 5 years; and Life Member of the Board. She has served as chairman of the following Grand Rapids WBA committees: Tournament, 5 years; BVL, 15 years and started BVL tournament and involved men's associations, food shelf.

She has worked with the following other organizations: YABA/AJBC Board of Directors, 15 years; AJBC coach, 4 years; and high school coach, 2 years; organized 2 bus trips to state tournaments, started Grand Rapids WBA no-tap tournament and end of the year championship roll-off between league champions. She has served as chairman of the following WIBC committees; LTS meeting in Grand Rapids and also one at Quadna Resort.

She has been a WIBC Delegate 4 years, and competed in WIBC Championship Tournaments 4 years. She was awarded a WIBC Life Membership by the Grand Rapids WBA. She has contributed the following valued services to the game of bowling; certified bowling instructor, developed program for teaching bowling and scoring in high school physical ed. Class 8 years and included bowling in teaching physically handicapped 10 years.

She has received the following special Honors/Citations contributed to bowling; handled publicity for newspaper locally for 3 years, with men's association taught a fall intro to bowling for new and novice bowlers. Her high game 289 (4th highest in state that year) – high three-game series 669 and high season average 183.
