Marge has been a member of the MWBA for 47 years. She served as chairman of the MWBA coat room during the 1965-66 Tournament. She served on the following MWBA committees: Banquet Committee in 1952 and was a MWBA Convention Teller for 3 years. She was a delegate to the MWBA Conventions 15 years and an alternate 3 years. She has competed in 42 MWBA Championship Tournaments. Marge has held the following Winona WBA offices; Director 6 years (1981-87); Winona WBA Sergeant-at-Arms 2 years; President AC Ladies and President Westgate Mixers, 3 years; and Vice President, 2 years. She has served as chairman of the following Winona WBA committees; Legislative, 1 year; Nominating, 4 years; Scorekeeper, 3 years; and Trophy, 2 years. She organized a bus for the MWBA Jamboree 1 year. Marge has been a member of the Winona WBA for 50 years. Marge was inducted into the Winona WBA Hall-of-Fame in 1989.
Marge has contributed valued services to the game of bowling. It is Marge alone who is responsible for the great participation on Winona WBA Bowlers in the State and National Tournaments. For over 27 years she organized everything – from teams, to buses and motels for the Winona women without any compensation – all because of her love of bowling. Her enthusiasm for bowling and tournaments knows no bounds and she is the lady responsible for hundreds of women learning to love the GREAT SPORT OF BOWLING. Throughout her 50 years of bowling, Marge has never lost sight of the main goal of bowling – to have FUN – her fun loving spirit has generated a lot of good times for Winona women bowlers.
Marge served as a WIBC Delegate in 1991. She has competed in at least 10 National WIBC Championship Tournaments – her first one being in Minneapolis in 1950.
Marge's high three-game series is 597 and her high season average is 160.
