In 1950 Maxine decided she needed a night out and started bowling. Her first great series was bowled December 17, 1954 (222-264-200) for a 686 series. She bowled in a least one league every year and in as many as three leagues some years. She had a high series in almost all leagues every year. Over 10 consecutive years (1967 - 1977) she received the High Association Average Award. 1971 - 1972 she had 27-600 series.

She had the following Association Tournament championships: All Events 8 times, Team Several times, Scratch All Events champion, ABC League Champion 1960, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, ABC Singles Handicap Champion 1964

Maxine was a Certified YABA Coach. She organized and coached junior bowling at Dee's and Vilo Lanes in St. Cloud.
