Barb was a wife and mother of 3. Her whole family has been active in bowling.

Barb was a pin setter in the 30's. She started bowling about 1959. She was instrumental in setting up the Town & Country Wednesday afternoon league in 1963. She began as Vice President of the league. In 1962 she became City Assn. Secretary. In 1965 Barb was the Assn. Treasurer. In 1981 Barb was once again elected secretary of the association and held that position until her passing in 2005. Barb was also instrumental in setting up the Rolling Pins Tuesday afternoon league. She was secretary of that league for many years. She was also secretary for at least 25 years of the Nite Star league. She bowled on nearly every woman’s or mixed league that bowled in Crookston and was an officer in each of the leagues. Barb worked with the Women's 550 City Tournament and was a member of the local Hall of Fame.

She attended at least 17 State Annual meetings and also served on the legislative committee for 4 years and was a teller for 3 years. She also attended National Annual meetings.

Barb was not just a bowler. She had a love for her church and a deep love of music. She was an accomplished organist and played at her church and other churches.
