"Bert" was a charter member of the MWBA and was a member for many years.

She served as president for 5 years and was secretary from 1951-1964.

She was elected a life member in 1964. In the time she worked for the MWBA, she helped organize 87 local associations in Minnesota.

She was third vice-president of the WIBC. She chaired the Legislative and Law Committee of the WIBC for many years, and when Jean Knepprath, then president, was approached to hire a parliamentarian she said "Bertha is my parliamentarian!"

She served as president of the St. Paul WBA 5 years. She is a member of the WIBC Hall of Fame, St. Paul Bowling Hall of Fame and member emeritus of WIBC.
