Betty has been a member of the Minnesota WBA for 43+ years. She has held the following MWBA offices: Director, 8 years; Recording Secretary, 22 years. She has served on the following MWBA Committees as chairman or as a member: Jamboree, 6 years; Performance Review, 1 year; Nominating, 2 years; Credentials, 2 years; and Hall of Fame, 2 years. Betty has been active in other Bowling organizations: President, Minnesota Bowling Council, 12 years; Recording Secretary, Minnesota Bowling Council, 12 years; General Chairman whenever Minneapolis has hosted the State Tournament, and was Minnesota YABA Director. She has been MWBA Delegate to State Convention 26 years and participated in at least 43 MWBA Championship Tournaments.
Betty has been a member of the Minneapolis WBA for 43+ years. She has held the following Minneapolis WBA offices: President, 28 years; Vice President, 6 years; and Director, 8 years. She has served as Chairman and or as a member of various committees over her 28 years of service with the Minneapolis WBA. Those committees are: Publicity, Banquet, BVL, Finance and Budget, Lane Certification and Inspection, all Tournament Committees, Legislative, Hall of Fame, Scholarship, Senior, Nominating, 200/700 Club, YABA, Awards, VA Hospital Trip, STAR Program, Sunshine and Membership Development. Betty has worked with the following: Metropolitan Minneapolis Bowling Council, Minneapolis YABA Director, Ex officio for start-up of 500 Club, started Minneapolis VA Hospital trip and participated for 21 years, instituted name badges for Minneapolis Board, Member of the 6y00 Club and created original By-Laws for the Minneapolis YABA.
Betty has been a WIBC Director for 8 years. She has served as chairman or as a member of the following WIBC committees: Inspection Review, 4 years; Legal, 7 years; Area Recruitment Coordinator, 3 years; Credentials, 2 years; Delegates Party, 3 years; Future Leaders, 1 year, Legislative, 2 years; Member Benefits/Services, 1 year; Proprietor of the Year, 2 years; Senior, 4 years; Three Board Dinner, 2 years; Tournament, 6 years; WIBC/ABC National Mixed Tournament, 4 years; Governance, 2 years; and, Recognition, 2 years. She has worked with the following other national organizations: Pioneer Club Member; International Bowling Hall of Fame and Museum Trustee; Women's Sports Foundation; Volunteer for U.S. Olympic Festival held at Village North Bowl; and Volunteer for Special Olympics held at Southtown Bowl. Betty has been a WIBC delegate for 24 years and has participated in 33 WIBC Championship Tournaments.
Betty has dedicated her life to bowling and is always willing to do whatever is asked of her and readily volunteers her services whenever needed. She provides leadership for individuals who are involved in the administrative side of bowling and always represents her local and State associations and WIBC in a professional manner.
Betty is a member of the Minneapolis Hall of Fame. Her Career High Game is 257; Career High Three-Game Series, 607: and Career High Season Average, 155.
