Chuck Leone is 38 years old. He and his wife Debra have one son, Robert, and twin daughters Nicole and Nina.
Chuck has numerous bowling accomplishments both on the lanes and off. He is the proprietor of Colonial Lanes in Rochester. For 15 years he has been a Board Member of the Rochester YABA and a Director-at-Large for the past six years of the Minnesota State Bowling Association until illness forced his resignation. He was the S.E. District President of the BPA, president of the Rochester Bowling Council, and president of the Central Bowling Association.
In 1981, Chuck was one of three originators of the Minnesota High School Bowling Club that now has over 90 schools participating. He has served two years as the President of the Minnesota Bowling Council, two years as Minnesota BPA president, and 11 years and the president of the Minnesota State YABA. Chuck served on the National YABA Board of Directors and is a National Coaches Council USA charter member.
Chuck's accomplishments on the lanes have been just as outstanding. On the national level, he was a member of the 1976 Team All Events champion.
At the Men's State level, he has two doubles titles to his credit - 1995 with Brad Subak and 1982 with Bruce Forsland. He was a member of the Division I Championship team in 1994 and 1995, a member of the 1991 State Mixed Team Championship, and won the Gold Medal Star of the North Games in 1990. He is a two time Minnesota Master's Champion.
Local championships include: the 1977 Minneapolis Doubles (with Bill Hulbert) and the 1979 and 1983 Rochester Team event, Other tournament championships are: the 1976 Lucky 13 Mixed, the 1982 Peterson Classic, the 1988 Tri State Team event, the 1994 Fargo Team and Doubles events.
He has had a 200+ average for 22 years. He's had 3-300 games, 3-299 games, and holds a 794 as his highest series.
In 1977, he was a Team USA finalist, CBA Bowler of the Year in 1993, finished third in the World Team Challenge in 1994 in Dublin, CA, and in 1995 was inducted into the Rochester, MN Bowling Hall of Fame.
