Butch is proud of the fact that he has 100% attendance at all his Local and State Board meetings. He has chaired and worked Local, State and National tournaments/committees. Butch is involved in Local and State fund raising events for several charities, including Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) and Rally for the Cure. He travels the State visiting veterans in nursing homes supported by Minnesota league bowlers who contribute to BVL. Butch has received citizenship Award from US President Busch in 2006, BPA Community Charities Award four years for work with veterans. State Community Charities Award, set up brackets programs for both Local and State. Set up fund raising plans for Dallas, Texas, Denver, Colorado and Louisville, Kentucky. For the past four years, Butch has delivered food in Minneapolis and surrounding areas for Second Harvest to hungry families.

Local: Minneapolis ABC Director, Minneapolis ABC Director of the year Award 2002, Vice President Minneapolis ABC – served on Executive Board; Elected to Minneapolis USBC Board 2005, President, Minneapolis USBC 2007-2009), Elected 1st Vice President Minneapolis USBC Board 2005. Member of the Minneapolis Hall of Fame in 2010.

Butch has served the following committees at both the Local and State levels: Transition Board, Membership, Lane Certification, Search, Awards Banquet, Charities (including youth), Brackets, Most Improved, Public Relations, Budget, Education/Training, Youth Committee, Hall of Fame, Team Challenge, Funding Raising, Suspension, Tournaments (including youth).

Butch says that bowling and bowling charities are a big part of my life. I enjoy the game, but most of all, I enjoy the bowlers. I believe Local and State organizations are here to help make bowling fun while also giving back to those less fortunate in our bowling world. Butch’s middle name is “charity” and last name is “yes…what time should I show up.”
