Florence had been a member of the Minnesota WBA for 45+ years. She was truly a pioneer for promoting the game of bowling. Florence worked all shifts at the Minnesota WBA Championship Tournament when it was held in Rochester. She organized one of the first bus groups when the Minnesota State Championship Tournament started to bowl on Friday afternoons.

Florence organized many, many leagues in Rochester. She worked at the Recreation Bowling Lanes in Rochester for several years, and was League Coordinator for approximately 15 years at the lanes.

Florence was a delegate to the WIBC National Convention for several years. She competed in 45 National WIBC Tournaments.

Florence passed away on November 10, 1998.
