Jerry is 59 years old, married to wife Gail, and they have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy.
Jerry began his bowling career at Muggley's Lanes in St. Paul from 1949-51 and as a member of the Wilson High School Team from 1952-54.
In 1958, Jerry was elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Paul Bowling Association at the age of 22. He served as a Vice President from 1965-68 and was the President during the 1968-69 season. In 1970 he was elected to Treasurer of the associtaion and served in that capacity for 16 years.
In 1968, Jerry was elected to the Minnesota State Association Board of Directors and became a Vice President in 1984. He was elected as President for the 1987-88 season. He has competed in 33 State Tournaments.
In 1981 Jerry was elected a director of the American Bowling Congress and was named ninth Vice President in 1988. He currently serves as first vice president (1995-96 season) and will be president of the ABC in 1997-98 on May 1.
On the bowling lanes, Jerry has been an above average competitor, consistently averaging between 185 and 200. He has twelve 700 plus series, the highest a 774. He has competed in 24 ABC National tournaments.
