Helen has been a MWBA member for 43 years. She has been a delegate to MWBA Conventions for 10 years and an alternate 2 years. She has competed in 35 MWBA Championship Tournaments. As the President of the Winona WBA she hosted the 1966 MWBA Championship Tournament.

Helen has been a member of the Winona WBA for 45 years. She has held the following Winona WBA offices: President 8 years (1963-71); Winona WBA Director 7 years (1979-86). She served as chairman of the following Winona WBA committees: Equipment, 1 year; Rules, 1 year; and Scorekeeper, 1 year. She has worked with the following Winona WBA organizations: AJBC Board (1965-66); coached Junior Bowlers at Hal Rod Lanes in 1966, 1967, 1968. She also coached local women who wanted to learn to bowl. Helen was the top bowler in the Winona WBA for 6 years. Her high games was 259, which she bowled on December 1, 1967. This was tops in the record books for 10 years. Her high three-game series was 669, bowled on March 7, 1963, which stood for 11 years. Her high average was 178 in the 1965-66 season. Helen has won the following local championship titles: member of the Team Championship in 1972, with a score of 2966; All-Events champion in 1958, with a score of 1651 and also in 1964, with a score of 1601. She won the Winona WBA 600 Tournament in 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964, and 1967. Helen was appointed "Royal Queen of the Lanes" by Bill Peterson Jack Frost XVI in 1966. She was inducted in to the Winona WBA "Hall of Fame" in 1982.

Helen has returned a lot to the game of bowling through her coaching and very active participation in Winona WBA activities. She stands for a model for all bowlers with her bowling accomplishments and dedication – a very giving and gracious lady.
