Karen has been a member of the Minnesota WBA for 40+ years. She has competed in at least ten Minnesota WBA Championship tournaments. In 1997 Karen was a member of the team that won the Team Hi-Actual Championship title with a score of 2997 and in the same year with Helen Nikiel as a doubles partner, took the Doubles Actual Championship title. Karen was the first bowler from Minnesota that bowled an 800 series (824 in 1993) although Patty Ann, a pro temporarily from New Ulm, had an 800 series earlier.

Karen has been a member of the St. Paul WBA for 40+ years. She has the following bowling accomplishments: *St. Paul All City Teams – 1st team eight times and 2nd team eight times *Two St. Paul 600 Club titles, Scratch Championship in 1979 with a score of 641 and Scratch/Handicap Champion in 1980, Score 648/680 *Metro 600 Club Actual Champion in 1985, score 627 *Minneapolis Tribune Ladies Champion in 1980, score 794/4 games *St. Paul Division I City Singles Champion in 1989, score 676 *Virginia Pechacek Award (high game in City tournament team event) in 1992, score 268 *Ladies Central Bowlers Association (LCBA) All-Star Team 1986-1987-All-Star 2nd team 1990-1991 and 1991-1992 *St. Paul Hi-Series four seasons 1978-1979 (696) – 1983-1984 (714) – 1992-1993 (824) – 1993-1994 (785) *St. Paul Mixed Team Tournament First Place 1990. She has had at least 11 – 700 series and one 800 series.

Karen's *Career Hi-Game 299 *Career Hi-Three-Game Series 824 *Career Hi Season Average 204. She was inducted into the St. Paul Hall of Fame in October 1996.
