Marcella is a charter member of the MWBA. She is also a charter member of the Minnesota Bowling Council. She served as a delegate to the MWBA convention for at least 14 years.

She competed in at least 16 MWBA Championship Tournaments. She was a member on the team that won the MWBA Team title several years and she also won the All-Events title in 1955 with a score of 1750. Marcella has been a member of the St. Paul WBA. Her high three game series was 712 in the 1959-60 season. She was a member on the team that won the St. Paul Championship Tournament once – shared the Doubles title twice – won the Singles title once and won the All-Events title four times (1943-44) (1957-58 score of 1661) (1963-64 score of 1690).

She was a member on the All-City team that won the time title five times.

She was inducted into the St. Paul Hall of Fame in 1965. She was President eight years – Secretary nine years and Junior Instructor five years of the St. Paul WBA. She received the Distinguished Service Award from the BPA in 1964
