Mary Lou Vining-Berg has been a member of the MWBA for over 30 years. She has served as a delegate to the state convention for 10 years and competed in 20 state tournaments.

She was state all events champion in 1973 and 1978. She won the Metro 600 tournament in 1979 and was 8th in the open division singles in the WIBC tournament in St. Louis and third in open all events with 1894 in 1981. She won the National 600 Club Tournament in 1976. She competed in the Tournament of the Americas and was second in all events as well as placing second in two other events and one third.

She was 7th in the 1981 Team USA trials and competed in the first world games winning a bronze medal for 3rd place in singles. In 1983 in the Pan-Am Games she won a gold medal in doubles and a silver medal in the mixed team and was fourth in the match games. She has been on the St. Paul All City Team 18 times and was "Queen" six times. She is a member of the St. Paul Bowling Hall of Fame. She is a director of the St. Paul WBA and served as secretary-treasurer of the St. Paul YABA for many years. She has maintained an average of 185 or better for 20 years. Her high career game is 300 and has a series high of 729. Her highest season average was 201.
