Paul has been bowling in the Minneapolis District Bowling Association since 1970. During this time frame he has accomplished the following: 7 Minneapolis District Bowling Association Championships - 1975 & 1984 Actual Team; 1973, 1981, 1997 Actual Doubles; 1997 Handicap Doubles & 1973 Actual All Events titles.

Other tournament titles of note include 1981 FIQ Gold medal in team event, 5 CBA titles: 1973 (2), 1976 (2), and 1979; 1983 Hoinke Team title, St. Cloud Kegle: 1975 Doubles and 1978 Team, Tri State: 1973 Team and 1978 Doubles, 1979 Minnesota Masters, Hibbing: 1979 All Events and 1980 Team, 1973 Minneapolis 700 Tournament, 1997 St. Paul 1st Team Challenge.

Paul also won several smaller local tournaments in the Upper Midwest area.

He was elected to the Minneapolis District Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1991.

Paul's individual accomplishments include fourteen 300 games, five 299's, six 800's with a high of 823.
