Paul was born in St. Thomas, a small town outside of LeSueur, MN. He is now 81 years old, married to wife Isabel and they have two boys, two girls, 15 grand children and 12 great grand children.

Paul began his bowling career in LeSueur where he was a proprietor for 15 years (1939 - 1954) besides being association board member, league officer, sponsor, and good bowler. He won the singles city championship in LeSueur & Mankato. He's a member of the LeSueur Hall of Fame.

In St. Paul he was a proprietor at Midway Garden for five years and proprietor of Toppies bar in downtown St. Paul. He sponsored many teams from these two businesses. He was a member of the St. Paul "B" Division team champions in the 1983-84 season. He also is a member of the St. Paul 700 club. His high average was 202, rolled a high game of 298 and high series of 761.

On the State level, Paul has been on the Board of Directors since 1951. In the 1971-72 season he was our President and is currently an Honorary Life Member. He has bowled in at least 45 State Tournaments.
