Ruth was a member of the Austin WBA and a MWBA member for 24 years. She was a MWBA delegate from Austin 7 years but attended 17 conventions.
She competed in 24 MWBA Championship Tournaments. She served as a MWBA Director. She served as chairmen of the MWBA Junior Bowling Tournament.
She served on the following MWBA committees: Junior Bowling Tournament, wrote for the Minneapolis Bowling Magazine. She was a member of the team that won the Class B Team in 1q954-55 with a score of 2207, a record in the MWBA Championship Tournament. She is a Charter Member of the Austin Hall of Fame. She served as Austin Secretary/Treasurer 1 year, held the office of League President, Vice President and Sgt. at Arms 10 years. She worked with the following Austin organizations: 600 Club President 1 year and Secretary/Treasurer 10 years, organized 6y00 Club in 1963, organized junior bowling for girls, was a certified instructor, editor of bowling newspaper sponsored by Austin businessmen, organized 1300 Jamboree (a mixed tournament for 600 & 70 clubs), and worked on many city tournaments. She holds the following Austin Championship Tournament titles: member of team in 1959, 1961, 1969, 1972 won the Singles title in 1958 and All Events title in 1962 with score of 1792. Her other Austin bowling accomplishments; 600 Club Champ 1970, first woman in Austin to roll a 700, and had many 600 series. Her additional honors are: Austin Hall of Fame 1973 and has been League Champ 22 years. She competed in the 4th Annual WIBC Queens Tournament and competed in at least 6 WIBC Championship Tournaments.
She had many sanctioned high scores 250 and over. She never missed bowling in a MWBA Championship Tournament or Austin City Tournament. She helped organize many leagues and helped promote bowling in and around the surrounding areas. Her career high game 268 (1958), high series 721 (1958), and high season average 183.
