Virg resides in Bloomington, MN. and is 56 years old. He is married to Judy and they have two sons.

He is considered one of the best left handers in our State and has many accomplishments in the sport of bowling. With a 200 average or better since 1962, he has many titles to his credit.

On the City level in Minneapolis, Virg won the Doubles Championship in 1974 with Jack Wallisch. Virg also was the All Events Champion that same year. With a winning total of 2016, Virg was again the All Events Champion in 1978. In 1975, Virg and his team won a Team Championship.

Virg has won nine CBA Championships, and was named the CBA Bowler of the Year in 1980.

Virg is a member of the Minneapolis Hall of Fame and also the CBA Hall of Fame.

Virg has bowled in at least 35 ABC tournaments having a lifetime ABC tournament average of 199. He has competed in at least 30 Minnesota State Tournaments.

Virg has been an ABC sanctioned bowler for 40 plus years and his scoring accomplishments to date are: two 300 games, two 800 series and many 700 plus series.

Probably at the top of his list of accomplishments was in 1974, when Virg represented the USA in the FIQ American Zone Championships in Caracas, Venezuela. Virg won two gold and two silver medals and set three scoring records in the five man team event.
